Credit: AP Online
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

UNC’s Ty Lawson appeared in court on an underaged drinking charge Tuesday after being arrested for driving with a revoked license.

Lawson also faced provisional licensee charges.  There was no conviction, but the charges will remain on Lawson’s record.

As part of a deal, Lawson served 26 hours of community service and has to pay $121 in court fees.  Lawson also wrote a four-page empathy report after watching a documentary about drinking.

Lawson said he was sorry for the incident and it will never happen again.
